What is Bluetooth,What are the key features of Bluetooth technology? What is the Bluetooth Network and its type?

(1)What is Blutooth

Bluetooth is a wireless technology that is used to transfer data between electronic devices. If we talk about the other wireless communication modes, then the data transmission here is very less compared to that. This means data can be trasfer within a very short distance, in bluetooth. Using this technology, users do not need any cords, cables, adapters and allow them to communicate wirelessly only.
This Bluetooth is a type of Wireless technology that is used for any file or data transfer. This Bluetooth technology was developed by the development special interest group and its physical range is from 10m to 50m only. These Bluetooth devices can only connect to more than seven devices and their main applications are in industries like smartphones, personal computers, and gaming consoles. IEEE has standardized Bluetooth as IEEE 802.15.1, but these standards are maintained only for a few periods.

(2) Bluetooth key features

Let's know what exactly are the key features in this bluetooth technology that all of you need to know about.

1)Less complication: It does not have much complication, it is a very simple technology.

2)Less power consumption: It does not consume more power. Which makes it more popular

3)Cheap rates: These are much cheaper than other similar technologies.

4)Robustness:  These are very robust. They can be used anytime and anywhere.

5)Distance: Their use can be between 10 to 50 meters.

6)Data rate: Their data rate is up to 1 Mbps. Which is very fast.

7)Spreading: It uses FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) technology.

(3)What is the Bluetooth Network and its type

Bluetooth network is called a network where many bluetooth users are connected and communicated. There are mainly two main elements in these networks: Master and Second Slave.

Two kinds of network topologies are mainly given more importance in Bluetooth.
  1. Piconet
  2. Scatternet

1)Piconet

Piconet forms when one master and one slave are born or one master and multiple slaves are born. Maximum maximum of 7 active slaves can remain in piconet. Therefore, more than 8 maximum devices can communicate together in a small network and those called piconet. Slaves transmit only when master bluetooth device requests them something. About 255 slaves are always Mehjud in the parking state.

Active slaves are polled by the master to transmit. Each station receives only 8 bit parked address. Therefore total 255 parked slaves are only possible in a piconet. These parked stations can only join within 2 ms. All other stations may take time to join. Only 10 such piconets are found in a given bluetooth radio coverage area.

2)Scatternet

Combinations of multiple Piconets are called Scatternet. A device can participate in multiple piconets. It has to be timeshare and the current piconet has to be synchronized with the master too.

It supports data rate which is based on different versions of some which are from 720 kbps to 24 Mbps. They have the ability to cover distances from 1 to 100 meters, which depend on which power class they support that bluetooth device.
